The Benedictine Monks

The opportunity

Creating a clear digital home for a community with many audiences and responsibilities.

Holy Cross Abbey serves people locally and much further afield. Some visitors arrive to join prayer or watch the live webcam; others want to learn about hospitality, vocation or the community’s history. The site also supports homilies, biblical readings, prayer requests, donations, news and an online shop.

The challenge was to organise that breadth without losing the sense of welcome and reflection at the heart of the community.

Strategy

Build the experience around the different reasons people connect with Holy Cross Abbey.

Purpose-led navigation

Create direct routes for worship, hospitality, community life, vocation, resources and support.

Worship and resources

Bring the live webcam, prayer times, homilies and biblical readings into an accessible content structure.

Sustainable publishing

Use repeatable WordPress content patterns so the community can maintain news, readings and resources over time.

See the work
